Everything Uhmegel Does, in One Place

The full Uhmegel toolkit, explained plainly

Uhmegel keeps the feature list short on purpose: fast random matching, private one-on-one video, and the controls to steer it. Here is what each piece actually does — no filler, no dark patterns.

A short feature list, on purpose

Most social apps bolt on features until the original idea disappears under badges, feeds, and streaks. Uhmegel went the other way. Everything on this page exists to serve one moment: two people, face to face, talking. If a feature does not make that moment faster, safer, or easier to leave, it does not ship.

What that leaves is a tight set of tools you will actually use from the first visit — matching, the private call itself, skip, and the safety controls. Each one is explained below the way we would explain it to a friend.

The toolkit

The six things Uhmegel actually does

One-tap random matching

Tap start and the matcher pairs you with someone online right now — usually within about half a minute, no queue page and no lobby.

Private one-on-one video

Every match is a closed two-person call. There is no group room, no audience, and no way for a third person to drop in.

Cam to cam, both ways

Both cameras live at once, so you see each other in real time. On a phone you can flip between front and rear lens mid-call.

Skip that actually skips

One tap ends the current call and loads the next person on the spot. No cooldown, no penalty, no guilt trip screen.

Report and block, one tap away

Every screen keeps report and block within reach, and human moderation reviews what comes in around the clock.

Runs in any browser

Phone, tablet, or laptop — the same page works everywhere through modern browser video technology, with nothing to install or update.

How the pieces fit together

The matcher and skip are two halves of the same idea: you should never feel stuck. Matching gets you into a conversation fast; skip gets you out just as fast. Because both cost one tap, people relax — a bad match is a ten-second story, not a ruined evening.

The private call is the format everything else protects. Voice, video, and text all run in the same two-person room, and nothing about the call is recorded. That is also why moderation matters so much here: when the room is just two people, the report button has to work every single time, so it sits on every screen instead of hiding in a menu.

Want to see the format aimed at a specific kind of conversation? Try a video chat with girls, a two-way cam to cam match, or a private 1-on-1 video chat. Curious who built all this? The about page introduces the site and the people behind it.

What can I do on Uhmegel?

Three core things: get matched with a random person online, talk face to face in a private one-on-one video call, and skip to someone new whenever you like. Text runs alongside the video in every call.
