1The short version

You can start a video chat on Uhmegel without creating an account. We collect the minimum needed to keep matching fast and the platform safe, we never record your video or audio calls, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone. If you want something deleted or explained, write to [email protected] and a real person will answer.

2What we collect

Because Uhmegel works without sign-up, most visitors never give us a name or an email address. The information we handle falls into three buckets:

• Technical data your browser sends automatically — IP address, device and browser type, approximate region, and timestamps. We use this to route your connection and to block abuse.
• Usage signals — which buttons you tap, how long a session lasts, and whether a match was reported or skipped. This stays aggregated and helps us tune matching.
• Voluntary details — anything you choose to type into a support email or a feedback form, plus basic account fields if you decide to register for extra features.

3Your calls are not recorded

Video and audio on Uhmegel travel peer to peer wherever the connection allows, and we do not record, store, or transcribe the contents of your calls. Text chat inside a session is ephemeral too: when the session ends, the conversation is gone from our systems. The only exception is a safety report — if a user flags a match, the report itself (who reported whom, when, and why) is kept so moderators can act on it.

4How we use information

We use the data above to do four things: put you into a match quickly, keep bots and banned users out, understand which parts of the site need work, and answer support requests. That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles, and your activity on Uhmegel is not used to target ads at you elsewhere.

5What we share, and with whom

We do not sell personal data, full stop. A small number of vendors help us run the site — hosting, content delivery, and analytics providers — and they process limited technical data on our behalf under contract. Beyond that, we only disclose information if the law genuinely requires it, or to protect the safety of our users in an emergency.

6Cookies and similar tools

Uhmegel uses a small set of cookies and local storage entries to remember your session, your preferences, and basic analytics events. You can block cookies in your browser and the core chat will still work, though some conveniences may not stick between visits.

7Your choices and rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion. Email [email protected] from the address concerned and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you never registered, the practical answer is usually that we hold very little beyond short-lived technical logs.

8Adults only

Uhmegel is strictly for people aged 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect any information from minors. Suspect that someone underage is on the service? Report it right away and the account — along with anything tied to it — comes down.
